Dr. Johnson is proud to be one of Anchorage’s newest orthodontist and to be creating smiles that will last a lifetime! Dr. Johnson completed his orthodontic residency from one of the oldest degree granting orthodontics programs in the world, the University of Michigan. During his three years at the University of Michigan, Dr. Johnson focused solely on learning the art and science of orthodontics and earned both a certificate of orthodontics and a Master of Science degree. Before attending the University of Michigan, Dr. Johnson graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. In 2008 he graduated number one in his class at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where he earned his dental degree. Dr. Johnson has also earned many honors and awards for scholastics and service, including being inducted as a member into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society and being awarded their highest honor, the William S. Kramer Award for Excellence. During his time at both UNLV and the University of Michigan, Dr. Johnson has written and published multiple journal and research articles. Since 2005 Dr. Johnson has been a member of many professional associations including the American Association of Dental Research (AADR), the American Dental Association (ADA), the American Association of Orthodontics (AAO), and most recently the Alaska State Dental Society.
Dr. Johnson and his beautiful wife Jeanie have three young children. They love the outdoors, especially fishing, and are very excited about all the possibilities Alaska has to offer. Dr. Johnson is a former Eagle Scout, a youth Sunday school teacher, and both he and Jeanie are involved in volunteer activities with the community and their church. Dr. Johnson’s number one priority is being dedicated to providing quality orthodontic treatment in a fun, friendly environment!
